Marketed a few months ago in China, Oppo’s R17 Pro and its fingerprint sensor under the screen arrives in France. For the occasion, it changes its name and is now called RX17 Pro. He also carries in his luggage the RX17 Neo, a lighter version.
Oppo goes on. After landing this summer in France with a poorly positioned R15 Pro and a halftone FindX, the Chinese manufacturer has chosen Milan to launch the European launch of its RX17 Pro, the international version of the R17 Pro released in China this summer. Neither the French release date nor its price has been announced, however, it will not belong. In the process, the company also introduced the RX17 Neo, a lighter version on the data sheet. We had the opportunity to get our hands on the RX17 Pro during its presentation, little tour of the owner.
A triple photo module at the back
With its minimalist notch, its borderless screen and three sensors on the back, the RX 17 Pro has all of a smartphone from the end of 2018. With its tunes of OnePlus 6T or Huawei Mate 20, it offers an Oled panel of 6, 4 inches, displaying in FHD + (2,340 x 1080 px) at 19.5: 9 ratio. A screen that seems pretty well calibrated. The terminal also offers a good grip. Its locking button, located on the right edge, and those of the sound volume, on the opposite, fall naturally under the finger. The fingerprint sensor is placed under the screen at the same location as the OnePlus 6T. It has the merit of being responsive without competing with the Mate 20 Pro, exemplary on this point.
At the rear, the RX17 Pro has a triple photo module. The first, and main, offers a sensor of 12 Mpx supported by a dynamic lens opening at f / 1.5 and f / 2.4 depending on the situation. A feature we have already encountered on the Samsung Galaxy S9, for example. The secondary (20 Mpx + f / 2.6) is for portraiture. Tested in real condition, that is to say far from our dear scene, this camera seems to deliver pictures of good quality. We still notice a smoothing still a little too present to offer a level of dream realism. The same thing can be seen on the front module (25 Mpx + f / 2.0) with clean selfies but offering a baby’s skin. Proud of its software treatment, Oppo promises quality night photos.
The Promise Of 40% Of The Battery Recharged In 10 Min
Equipped with 6 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 710, Qualcomm SoC inserted between the middle and high end, the RX17 Pro offers a fluid experience of Android 8.1 and its overlay ColorOS 5.2. The terminal embeds two batteries of 1nbsp; 850 mAh for a total of 3,700 mAh. An atypical arrangement on an Android smartphone, which allows according to Oppo to charge the terminal even faster. With the VOOC charger provided, the terminal is expected to gain 40% in just 10 minutes and reach 100% after 40 minutes. Comfortable. Note that the laptop is charged through a USB-C connection, chosen at the expense of the mini-jack 3.5 mm.
Neo Not To Say Light
In addition to this RX17 Pro, Oppo has also unveiled the RX17 Neo which is a real twin. On the side of the data sheet, this RX17 Neo is clearly positioned as a lighter version with small sacrifices. Namely, only 4 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 660, micro-USB connectivity and the absence of the third photo module in the back. Here, the double module (16 + 2 Mpx) is based on a dynamic, main sensor/depth sensor. The accumulator, in one block, is also more light with 3600 mAh. Finally, we find the same slab, the same fingerprint sensor under the screen and the same front photo module.
It remains to be seen what the tariff position of the two terminals will be when they are marketed in France.
